We spent Easter weekend in Upstate NY and had a great time hanging out with family, watching the NCAA tournament (GO SU!), and eating Dinosaur Barbeque (nom, nom, nom). It’s been a rough transition back to work because the boys are sick, including a double ear infection for Declan and pink eye for both. We’re hoping to make it through the week without our neighbors calling Child Protective Services. “No officer, we’re not running a waterboarding torture center, we’re just trying to put drops in our son’s eye.”
The boys hanging out with their cousins:
We colored eggs. They didn’t look like this:
They mostly looked like this:
As I mentioned, the boys caught colds and had snot running down their faces in most of the Easter pictures.
But they had fun finding eggs and collecting the lollipops that ‘grew’ overnight after planting jelly beans the day before:
On Saturday, we had lunch at Dinosaur Barbeque and walked around the SU campus before they played (and beat) Marquette in the Elite 8. For those of you not from Upstate NY, you need to eat here if you ever find yourself in the area. Okay, you probably won’t find yourself in the area, but maybe you should consider a long weekend trip to the Fingerlakes with a pit stop in Syracuse just so you can eat here. They have other locations too, but Syracuse was the original.
Finnegan thought you had to eat like a T-Rex. Apparently, this is how a T-Rex eats. (Photography by Russ – he did an awesome job focusing on the glasses. Good job, honey.)
Looking back it was a busy weekend (and may explain why our house currently sounds like a TB ward).
