Faster than Usain Bolt

Before we left for Jamaica, Finnegan proclaimed that he was the fastest person alive – even faster than a cheetah.  He hasn’t met Bolt yet to formally challenge his title, but Finnegan did spend the morning racing some other Jamaicans on the beach, including his nanny.

It’s easy to fall into a lazy routine here.  I expect most days will flow a lot like today – wake up, go to the rocky beach below our villa, find lots of shells, look for lizards and hummingbirds, eat breakfast overlooking the ocean, then a quick trip to the sandy beach until lunch/naptime.  The afternoon includes pool time and daiquiris.

I might go a little stir crazy with this routine for an entire week so I may have to book an excursion when Russ isn’t paying attention – possibly a trip to YS Falls or a boat ride.

  1. i think we did those falls on our honeymoon. not sure how safe it would be with little guys, leave them with the nanny. you will be able to enjoy more if not worrying about them slipping. will also be safer for you and russ if your hands are free. fyi though, it is a very touristy excursion.

    • I’m guessing you guys did the Dunn’s River Falls tour? This one is a different waterfall – about 20 minutes from our cottage. Dunn’s Falls look impressive, but I agreee that it doesn’t look kid friendly.
